MailSparc Privacy Notice
What we collect
- At signup: your chosen address, display name, recovery email, the IP address you signed up from, and a timestamp. We keep this ledger for abuse prevention and account recovery.
- While you use the service: normal mail-server logs (connection IPs, timestamps, message metadata such as sender/recipient/size) and your mail itself, stored so we can deliver it to you.
What we do with it
- Operate the service: deliver mail, filter spam and viruses, back up the server.
- Fight abuse: rate limiting, investigating spam complaints, blocking bad actors. Signup and sending records may be correlated for this purpose.
- Nothing else. We do not read your mail for advertising, build marketing profiles from it, or sell or share your data with third parties, except when the law requires it.
Recovery email
Used only to verify you if you lose access to your account. We won't send marketing to it.
Retention
Mail stays until you delete it or your account is closed. Server logs and the signup ledger are kept for as long as reasonably needed for security and abuse prevention. This is a free service with no SLA — keep your own copies of anything important.
Your choices
You can delete your mail at any time through webmail or IMAP, and you can ask us to close and delete your account by writing to [email protected] from that account.
